Macerated Malvasia Boškarin
Malvasia is the most common white Istrian variety.
Our macerated Malvasia is a unique product that stands out for its locality whose story goes far back in time – in Roman times when they built villas and settlements in this area. One of such villas is Villa Radeki, whose location was then exactly where current Malvasia plantations are today.
Along with the locality, it is of great importance in the tradition of production. The grapes are not separated immediately from the skin, but after pressing the skin and juice are left together in barrels to stand for several days to several months. This process is called maceration at the expense of which Malvasia acquires an intense golden color, and the golden content increases the longer the maceration.
The aroma dances between fruity and floral and is followed by ripe apples, pears, apricots and peaches as well as linden and acacia. The aftertaste gives grapefruit which is considered a varietal characteristic. It is harmoniously rounded.
14% alcohol
Quality dry wine with controlled geographical origin.
